Community store at the heart of Burnley Town Centre, ‘Down Town’, is now open! Burnley’s second Community Grocery Store which helps bridge the gap between food banks and supermarkets is located at Down Town.
If you are feeling the financial impact of the cost-of-living crisis, the Community Grocery are there to help. For an annual membership of £5 and a £4 shop, you can choose 12 items across fruit & veg, shelf items, chilled, frozen and bakery.
A variety of services are available including cost of living support and advice services and Burnley Together’s annual school uniform recycling scheme and Christmas Present appeal will also operate from the store.
